Customer Case | NGI Integrated Source and Load Solutions Enable Efficient Testing for a Leading Aerospace Onboard Power Distribution Equipment Manufacturer
As electrification becomes a major development trend in the aerospace sector, electrical components such as motors, batteries, and power supplies are being widely adopted in aviation onboard systems. Traditional 115V AC and 28V DC systems are limited in capacity and struggle to meet the power demands of high-power onboard equipment. Currently, 270V/540V high-voltage DC systems are increasingly becoming a key solution for onboard power distribution systems due to their advantages of light weight, high power, and high reliability.

Next, we will share how NGI’s highly integrated full range of source and load testing solutions are applied in the power distribution system testing of aviation onboard power distribution equipment manufacturers.
Customer Requirements
Customer Z is a leading research center and production base in China for aviation power systems and engine ignition systems, specializing in the R&D and production of primary and secondary power systems for various aircraft.
In the early stages of the project, the customer required ground power supplies (primarily DC power supplies) and simulated loads (mainly DC loads). These devices, paired with digital measurement and control units, form an integrated validation environment for the primary and secondary power distribution systems. This setup is used to verify the impact of products on the electrical network, as well as the correctness, completeness, and safety of each product’s functional performance.

To meet the customer’s testing needs for power supply and load validation in the power distribution system, NGI introduced high-power programmable DC power supplies and multi-channel high-performance DC electronic loads, perfectly matching the customer’s testing requirements.
High Integration
Taking the N35500 series power supply products as an example, 42kW is supported in a 3U space. For load products, the N6148 supports 48 channels in a 3U space, reducing the required space by over 50% compared to traditional solutions.
Safe and Reliable
Supports CV/CC priority function, ensuring stable output without overcharging.
